Get VM Name, Configured OS, Running OS and Disk Type via VMware PowerCLI

Please refer to my post on how to connect to vCenter via PowerCLI If you have not completed this before, It can be found here

Run the below command and this will provide you information about the VM’s, Specifically the Name, Configured OS, Running OS and Disk Type.

Get-VM | Select Name,@{N=”Configured OS”;E={$_.ExtensionData.Config.GuestFullname}},@{N=”Running OS”;E={$_.Guest.OsFullName}}, @{N=”disktype”;E={(Get-Harddisk $_).Storageformat}}
