Change Horizon View 7 Default Https Port

You may have a requirement to change the https port as you already have a service running on port 443. You may also require to change this for company security requirements.

To complete this you will need to complete the following –

You will need to Login to the Horizon View Server/Horizon View Security Server and navigate to C:\Program Files\VMware\VMware View\Server\sslgateway\conf\config.properties

You will need to add the following lines to the file to enable the port you require, for example port 444

serverPort=444

serverProtocol=https

You will then need to login to the Horizon View 7 Admin Console (https://HorizonViewFQDN/admin) and Navigate to the  View Configuration and Servers. You will then need to select either the ‘Connection Servers’ or the ‘Security Servers’ tab depending on the deployment type you have in place. You will need to right click the server and select ‘Edit’ you will then see the settings box as per the screenshot below. You will need to change the https secure tunnel External URL to https://HorizonViewFQDN:444 for example https://view.vmware.com:444

You will then need to restart the View server for the changes to take effect. Please note you will now need to login to the Admin console using the port as well. So for example you will need to use the URL https://view.vmware.com:444/admin
